Ellen Fübbeker (University of Rostock) introduced a PhD project, which focuses on the experiences of mothers from Ukraine who have been forcibly displaced from their homes and who are attempting to cope with everyday life in Germany. Based on autobiographical narrative interviews with displaced mothers from Ukraine, the experience of war and displacement is reconstructed in the context of individual life and family histories, as well as social, sociocultural, and everyday resources. The presentation examined two biographies as an example.
